Electromechanical drive with hydrostatic transmission (EMAH) was developed as an addition to a range of existing hydraulic drives for regulation, switching, and fast closing functions. The previous solution relied on using a central hydraulic system for power supply to control and shut-off valves.
However, the autonomous drive for industrial steam turbines Nilufer Hidropar EMAH3 is a standalone system. This means that there is no need for a central hydraulic power supply or complex pipelines. Additionally, EMAH is a displacement-controlled system, where the drives are located in an integrated block consisting of a synchronous motor and hydraulic displacer.
EMAH combines the power of hydraulics with the dynamics and connection of electricity in a self-sufficient system with a very low oil volume. The drives are suitable for installation on valves used for switching and controlling steam, liquids, and gases.
